RAMMSTEIN Nominated For Two MTV European Music Awards
September 28, 2005German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN have been nominated in the "Best German Act" and "Best Video" ("Keine Lust") categories at this year's MTV European Music Awards, set to be held on November 3 in Lisbon, Portugal. Fans can vote for RAMMSTEIN at this location.
As previously reported, RAMMSTEIN have been nominated in the "Best Live Act" and "Best Video" ("Keine Lust") categories at this year's Comet Awards. The winner in each category will be determined by an audience vote. Voting ends October 4. The Comet Awards will be broadcast in Germany on October 6 on Pro7 and October 7 on the VIVA channel. RAMMSTEIN are also nominated in the category "Best Live Act" for the "Eins Live" Krone award. Germany's biggest radio awards ceremony will be held at the Arena Oberhausen on November 24 and will be broadcast live by Eins Live radio at 7:00 p.m. and on WDR TV at 10:00 p.m.
RAMMSTEIN's video for their new single, "Benzin" (Gasoline),has been posted online at this location. The clip was was shot in August by Uwe Flade, who has also directed videos for DEPECHE MODE and FRANZ FERDINAND.
"Benzin" is the first single off the German industrial metallers' new album, "Rosenrot" (view cover here),due in Europe on October 31. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include (English translation follows each German/Spanish-language title): "Spring" (Jump),"Rosenrot" (Rose Red),"Zerstören" (Destroy),"Mann Gegen Mann" (Man Against Man),"Feuer & Wasser" (Fire & Water),"Wo Bist Du" (Where Are You),"Te Quiero Puta" (I Love You, Bitch) and "Ein Lied" (A Song). The single will precede the album on October 10.
RAMMSTEIN recorded several songs during the sessions for "Reise, Reise" which were omitted from the CD's final track listing. During a recent session at a Berlin studio, RAMMSTEIN recorded several more tracks and recently mixed the combined collection of new material for the "Rosenrot" album.
Recorded primarily in Spain (El Cortijo Studio, Malaga),"Reise Reise" (translated as "Voyage, Voyage" or "Journey, Journey") was the follow-up to "Mutter", which entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 77 back in April 2001.
